INCREDIBLES 2 - Good but not as great as the other

Starting literally right where the original hit left off at, Brad Bird revisits the superpowered Parr family in "Incredibles 2". It may not seem as fresh as the original film (one of Pixar's all time best works) but it remains a charming superhero adventure with crazy action scenes and zippy humor.
There is a twist at the end concerning the central threat, and it's conceptually interesting. Yet it felt underwhelming like a lot of recent "secret villains" in a lot of Disney movies. Getting tired of that. There are a couple of subplots that play out like a retread of John Hughes movies occasionally interrupted by Loony Tunes styled hijinks. It's funny but makes the second act seem directionless.
The animation is incredible though (no pun intended) and Brad Bird lets his imagination run …

Incredibles 2 Is Simply Super

It's not always the case, but often the longer the wait between sequels, the more likely it is the second film will disappoint. I'm happy to say that The Incredibles 2 not only bucks this trend, it gives me hope for the future of all long-awaited sequels. Brad Bird's original animated take on the super-hero genre was fresh, fun and had as much heart as it did action - combining memorable characters, solid story and humor. Incredibles 2 picks up right where the first film left off - and Bird doesn't miss a beat in this outstanding sequel.

“Help me bring supers back into the sunlight”.

It’s been 14 years.

After all these years and sitting through three ‘Cars’ movies - The only sequel that needed to happen has finally happened. It couldn't come quickly enough. Because I cherish ‘The Incredibles’ on multiple repeats when I was little. Also losing count of how many times I've played the PS2 game version. So yeah, this meant the world to me and anticipating a sequel for a long time, just like everyone else.

While ‘Incredibles 2’ doesn't quite hold a candle to the first, but still, I liked it. There’s a lot to like and enjoy. And yet recognize it’s flaws as well. It's not a disappointment, which makes me happy, just judging by Pixar recent involvement with it’s sequels.
