"The Rise Of The Silver Surfer" by Yojimbo

The four gosh darn it American as apple pie heroes return to do battle with the Silver Surfer, who comes to Earth to prepare it for consumption by Galactus. The first Fantastic Four movie was inoffensive enough, but this rehash is just plain lazy. The way it pointlessly reintroduces Dr. Doom is contrived and lame, Jessica Alba seems to be duking it out with The Thing in the "who's the most orange" competition and the ham fisted attempts at comedy (the Mr. Fantastic dance routine is just EXCRUCIATING) combined with the freaky family soap opera feeling made it look like a superhero version of The Munsters. The surfer himself was quite cool, but the action sequences are too short lived and anticlimactic and the dialogue quite atrocious. As a whole it was just a watered down version of …

The sequel to the 2005 film Fantastic Four. Both films are based on the Fantastic Four comic book and were directed by Tim Story. Ioan Gruffudd as Reed Richards, Jessica Alba as Sue Storm, Chris Evans as Johnny Storm, and Michael Chiklis as Ben Grimm are the film series' recurring protagonists, while Julian McMahon and Kerry Washington reprised their roles from the first film as, respectively, Victor Von Doom and Alicia Masters. Beau Garrett appears in the sequel as the Frankie Raye, along with Doug Jones as the Silver Surfer and Laurence Fishburne as the voice of the Silver Surfer. The plot follows the Fantastic Four as they confront, and later ally with, the Silver Surfer to save Earth from Galactus. This movie is an absolute fake.Wjth a screenplay that looks to be written by a child, …

The sequel is better than the original but the original is pretty darn bad. The reason why I enjoyed this film a lot more is because of the pacing. Somehow, it felt like the movie went by really fast. There's none of that discovering-their-po wers thing that made its predecessor stagnant. Instead, I felt like the actors and the filmmakers had more fun this time around. Sure, the villains and the plot are still contrived but I think I'm beginning to get that this "Fantastic Four" franchise is supposed to be fluffy and campy. The only major complaint I have is Jessica Alba. I don't want to be mean but even though the girl can't act, she still keeps getting roles. Looks can only get you so far. I say she should take acting lessons, get a juicy role, and surprise the world. In the mean time, …

Great effects (check), Hot Lead actress (check), Cool Surfer dude (check), Negative points about this film, one was bad acting.. At the near end of the film Sue Storm (the Invisible woman) was pierced by a spear like weapon from Dr. doom, and i noticed that when Reed (Mr fantastic) was holding her in his arms supposedly he'd be devastated for his lost but then the surfer seemed more sad than him. Also Alicia the girlfriend of Ben (The Thing) she didn't appear to be blind, i never knew she was until someone told me, again bad acting.. Last thing is i wish that johnny (the Human Torch) was funnier, i mean his jokes did not work for me at all but that's just me. Oh before i forget, I really wanted to hear The Thing shouts his signature "It's clobbering time" but I didn't so I was quite …
