A strange blend of science fiction, Lovecraftian horror, and romantic fantasy, DREAMSCAPE admittedly does struggle to balance out the weird with the mundane 'political conspiracy' subplot. But Dennis Quaid is very good and the supporting cast is fine; Kate Capshaw is given the chance to shine especially after her histrionic debut in TEMPLE OF DOOM.

Daft but enjoyable sci-fi thriller that's basically Scanners crossed with A Nightmare On Elm Street. The strong concept of psychics who can invade your dreams as assassins is a strong one (something obviously recognised by Christopher Nolan as Inception did something suspiciously similar). It's reasonably well done with some nicely surreal imagery but the effects have not dated well and it would've been a lot better if they'd ditched the sappy happy ending and ended it a scene earlier.

Fun sci-fi adventure. Dennis Quaid is charismatic and the premise is cool.

This is one of those movies I watched like 20 times back in the day. It actually still holds up pretty well, though it is a bit cheesy. Still, it's a fun little sci-fi/horror film that should be seen.

The soundtrack is a bit crappy, but the the plot and acting were decent. Dennis Quaid was actually pretty good and it had a Scanners type feel to it though it never climaxed like I would have liked it to.
