Gory, scary, and sometimes even funny, Romero's classic zombie movie is an effective horror film.

"When they is no more room in hell the Dead will walk the earth". What a awesome zombie movie. This is a fun gory horror movie with so many great lines and great sense with it. the visual effect's was stunning and looked really at times to be honest.

One of the most iconic zombie films - one that most modern day horror zombie films own homage to. Romero unleashes a plot that is both horrifying (and often instantly and shockingly violent) and rife with social commentary. It certainly isn't an accident that the film's iconic climax is set in a shopping mall, as the film takes not-so-subtle potshots at consumerism and materialism. That said, it's very effective, full of intense acting, and some creepy and scary zombie "crowd" sequences.

Liked it even more than 'Night of the Living Dead'. In fact, I love it! My pick for best zombie movie ever.

The blood and guts in this movie is excellent, especially when you consider that it was made in the '70s. The ending was awesome. And, it had a few other good points. However, the entire movie didn't really make any sense.

The better of the two version I think. Although Romero did both versions I still enjoyed his original view on it a lot more. More symbolic, more Ken Foree haha, more true life film. Not a moternized fast paced film. With sex and cussing. Dawn of the Dead is an amazing film.

Arguably the best of Romero's Dead series, which famously transcends it's genre with smart and biting and social commentary. Complete with genuine creeps and scares, the film surpasses overall expectations.

The best zombie movie there is, and quite possibly ever will be. Romero took his excellent Night of the Living Dead and followed it up with this tour de force. Granted, I haven't seen the original theatrical cut of the movie, only the European and Extended Cuts, but these alone have convinced me that this is THE epic zombie story for years and years to come. Ken Foree became a horror cult star for a reason. A true classic.

Though not as original as Night of the Living dead, it is still a great horror movie. With heads popping off and a mall full of zombies, this one can't be denied. It has a bigger budget (that is put to good use) to satisfy horror fans!
