I had modest expectations for this film, but I have to say I was way more entertained than I thought I was going to be. Sure, the blow the 80s completely out of proportion (no everyone wore leg warmers and blinding neon clothes) but they also did a good job of showing just how different the 80s really were. Lightweight fun, but enjoyable.

I thought the movie was going to be absolutely horrible. But after watching it, I have to admit, some moments were pretty damn funny. It was just too silly for me to give it a higher rating.

Wow. I remember when this movie came out I had no interest in seeing it whatsoever. But, boy was I wrong. This was probably the funniest film I'd seen since Tropic Thunder. For about 95% of the movie, I was lmao. For the other 5%, I was grossed out. But that's what made it so great.

Total silly. Good for a few laughs but that's about it. Honestly the story doesn't even make much sense.

Laugh out loud funny and will be putting this in my top 5 comedies for 2010. Didn't expect it to be this good but with John Cusack in I should have known as it picks up on the Witty humour of some of his other work. Definately worth watching if you fancy a simple yet funny film.

The odd eighties vibe, which is suppossed to be funny, mixes Poison, Motley Crue, and the Bullet Boys into the realm of S-A-F-E-T-Y D-A-N-C-E. Huh? So fine, perhaps time travel changes things, but shouldn't these things at least be funny? Instead one guy creates the Black Eyed Peas, and instead of Motley Crue another guy creates Motley Lue. Other unfiunny lines include, "What's e-mail?"

An entertaining, lightweight film, where 4 guys in a hot tub end up traveling back to 1986. At first they're determined to play everything out correctly and not risk the butterfly effect, but too many opportunities prove too tempting to resist. A good core cast that interacts well together, along with a lot of funny riffs on the 80s that don't prove to be too obvious (unlike, say, The Wedding Singer). Definitely worth a viewing.

It's like The Hangover meets Back to the Future. A really fun time at the movies.
