"Ant-Man" works, not just as a superhero origin, but also as a heist movie, as well as a comedy about being a dad.

It was better than I expected it to be based on the summary. However I also have not seen a movie with Paul Rudd in it before and I do enjoy Michael Douglas.

This is such a quality entry in to the Marvel stable. Believe all the big time critics because this is one fun movie.

I was prepared to dislike this movie because I thought AntMan was a dumb character to have an entire superhero movie about. But they made his powers pretty cool and useful to boot. There were some pretty creative action scenes that aren't only funny but also exciting. The plot is formulaic as hell especially for these Marvel solo ventures but I really enjoyed it. The humor and acting is what works best for this movie. Paul Rudd surprised me as a viable action hero and Michael Douglas was fun to see play his mentor. Evangeline Lilly doesn't really do much but her character was still interesting .Michael Pena made me laugh every time he talked. I'm glad I finally saw this and liked it as much as I did.

I appreciate the attempt of trying to be funny and entertaining, but for me, the highlights of this movie were the actions. It's cool that they did not focus on Ant-Man as a very little warrior. The variation of being so small and being in life size form made it the scenes highly watchable.
