Kirk Douglas fighting a giant squid is still fun to watch.

The giant squid is the best part of this film and it freaked me out as a kid. I dig Kirk Douglas's firm portrayal of his character, as well.

A fun adventure film that hold far better than many films similar to it. This is because of clever uses of special effects and some great performance especially from James Mason as captain Nemo. It is fun just to watch the adventure unfold.
