"My sunshine my little sunshine... you make the world happy when the sky goes blue". As the sun begins to die, a team of astronauts are sent on a spaceship to try and revive it to save the future of mankind. This movie has a lot of nick picks that I can't really name them all, The acting is good and the CGI is okay.

Sunshine is one of the most spiritual modern films I have seen - a movie that embraces the beauty of the universe and deals with themes of responsibility and self-sacrifice. The ending itself is extremely satisfying, and the film manages to balance a philosophical tone with a genuinely thrilling plot of survival and intrigue.

A tense, exciting and very smart sci-fi adventure, with a unique story. The acting and directing are superb. It has all the best elements from some of my favorite sci-fi movies.

movie that you would think would be chalk full of crazy special effects that not really what you get. You actually get a movie with some very solid acting that was actually very well written. The ending of the movie does get a little confusing and the ending is exactly what you think its going to be but its a fun ride. If you ever get the chance to catch the movie then do.

A wonderfully affecting film, with Cilian Murphy at the helm of this Danny Boyle film. Filmed in the style of "28 Days Later", this film held my rapt attention the entirety of its 2 hour length. I wasn't expecting the film to captivate me like it did. Stellar performances all across the board and the types of directing choices that can only be awarded to a champion leader, "Sunshine" is a must-see for any and all sci-fi/thriller lovers.

Action: 3/3 + Comedy: 1/2 + Good vs Evil: 1/1 + Love/Sex: 1/1 + Special Effects: 1/1 + Plot: 1/1 + Music: 1/1 = 9/10 or 90%. This is the most relevant sci-fi film of the decade (to date). While the plot and film are written off by many as 2001 meets Spinal Tap there is much more to digest. Sunshine demands one's attention and one must commit to hearing and processing the dialogue. If one does, the experience is phenomenal and overtly relevant. If one doesn't it can be a complete head-scratcher.

A splendid scenario, equally-adept visuals and some tense moments populate this fascinating science-fiction thriller; though not as energetic as it could be, and certainly not needing its horror subplot, this puts the science back in science-fiction. Final Grade: B-

So this is the brilliant, genre-exploring Danny Boyle's stab at sci-fi. Sunshine has a thrilling concept, and there are plenty of thrilling moments indeed, unfortunately I may have gone into it with my expectations too high. The acting is well-done (Cillian Murphy is always a scene-stealer) and there are great shots, and of course great music, I just felt it would have benefited from a slightly more complex internal/psychological angle, delving into the varying character's minds on a deeper level...rather than all the dramatics. Boyle being one of my favorites, I can't help but expect perfection. Though I was enjoying it, the luminously gorgeous final scene ended up being the reason I would recommend it.
