It's a bit corny in parts, but this was a decent little film-noir. Brian Donlevy in a more sympathetic role for once is pretty decent. as the unwitting husband who escapes being murdered. Ella Raines is the nice girl to Helen Walker's more sinister role. The car crash scene is laughably bad though with its use of obvious miniatures.
