A reboot (I think) of the popular cursed videotape film, but whatever it is, it's awful and unnecessary.

Thoroughly disappointing - lacks any of the creepiness that made the first one (either the Japanese or English version) so memorable. It has no depth of character, a dull story and is just a mess all around. If someone was hoping to reboot this series, it fell woefully short and with all the better horror out there right now, don't even bother with this one.
