Plot: Fred Astaire's character, Don, is stunned when his dancing partner (and the woman he thinks he's in love with) Nadine, played by Ann Miller, refuses to sign a new contract to continue their dance partnership. To prove that she's not important to him and that he is the reason she can dance at all, he finds a new protegee, Hannah Brown, played by Judy Garland, and vows to make her a dancing sensation by next Easter. -- laaas

A fantastic musical that pairs a heartwarming romance with some brilliant songs from Irving Berlin. Judy Garland has never been more adorable and Fred Astaire/Peter Lawford more suave. A film from the beginning of the Golden Age of musicals.
