Upon his arrival, Dracula is instantly drawn to Lucy Seward , (the daughter of the doctor in charge of the asylum), and her friend, MIna Van Helsing (daughter of Abraham Van Helsing, a noted expert on occult phenomena such as werewolves and vampires). The story involves Dracula's attempt to make both of these women immortal wives, and Van Helsing's attempts to thwarts his plans.
