Oh dear. I approached this hoping for more of the kind of martial arts comic mayhem provided by the like of Mr Vampire and A Chinese Ghost Story. Shaolin vs. Evil Dead: Not that great

OracleElizabeth - wrote on 03/20/2012

Shaolin vs. Evil Dead was not that great, it was no where near the annoying confusion that was it's sequel but still not worth watching unless you, like me; can't NOT watch horrible movies. The movie starts off with Chia Hui Liu in a larger role, which is already an improvement from the sequel. He and assistants are cleaning the land of (leading home?) zombies. As a side note lots of places I have looked this movie up, refer to them as vampires. I'm gonna say that might have been a translating error. These are the walking dead, or er the hopping dead. Jiang Shi might also be considered vampires in today's times but since the movie took place in older times, before western influence; I'm calling them zombies. They are definitely Jiang Shi because they use chicken eggs to repel them. …
