This movie was a action pack thriller ride that I was entertained from the start till the finish.

I think this is better than the first. Possibly because I went in with no expectations. When you see it on TNT; go ahead and flip to it during commercial breaks of Dancing with the Stars.

Not as much fun as the barely-fun first film. Here, Bay goes for the over-the-top meanspirited and offensive gag and blows more stuff up in lieu of having an actual meaningful plot. I detested this movie, really.

Absurdly cartoonishly violence and excessively ott editing both run amok in this bloated Michael Bay action epic. There is a perfectly solid 90 minute popcorn movie spliced into a two and a half hour long standup routine which becomes a duel between Will Smith and Martin Lawrence.

Martin Lawrence on the other hand rarely elicits even a chuckle and just sounds whiny. Joe Pantoliano adds really nothing new to the cliche role of 'stressed out police chief'. Meanwhile Jordi Molla comes across as a Latin version of Gary Oldman from every Hollywood villain role he ever did. Really, the only other main star that delivers a solid performance aside from Smith …

Two Miami Police officers (Will Smith and Martin Lawrence) and a beautiful DEA agent (Gabrielle Union), who happens to be the sister of one of the Miami officers, are on the same case -- to take down a major Miami kingpin (Jordi Molla).
If you like lots of action in a movie, this one not only gives you a LOT of it, it overkills the it. However, the violence that comes with most of the action is very graphic, and is NOT for children.
Possibly the best part of the movie, besides the high amount of action is the chemistry between Smith and Lawrence. You can actually believe that the two characters they portray have been friends for many years.
Sadly, Union's character is not in a big enough role in my opinion. With the relationship she has with Smith and Lawrence's characters, …
