This movie has a lot of good things going for it. Not the least of which is the fact that it's a very sad, but totally true story.

HBO's Emmy award winning television movie is a stirring and sometimes heartbreaking look at the horrible treatment of the Lakota Indians by the U.S. Government toward the end of the battles for Indian land. The film looks at the perspectives of three individuals and how their paths cross toward a massacre at Wounded Knee creek in the late 1800s that took the lifes of many Indians, mostly women and children. It's a sad look sometimes, but it's an important film that presents an unflattering but truthful look at one of the atrocities our government committed against Native Americans. As with most HBO films, this is presented very well.
