A clumsy Seymour Krelboyne (Jonathan Haze) treats a unique plant. He falls for Audrey Fulquard (Jackie Joseph) and the flower shop owner Gravis Mushnick (Mel Welles) gets the surprise of his life. The humor was there though at times forced because of the constant tripping of Seymour. I felt Mushnicks character was quite irritating. The story however and direction was interesting. The Little Shop of Horrors is worth a view for horror comedy fanatics who loves plants, are dentists or simply just have the audacity to view a film like this.

Original low budget and appropriately cheesy

Ok this is the original version of the film that Rick Moranis made popular in the late 80's. When I first saw this film I wasn't exactly sure what to expect all I knew is that Jack Nicholson was one of the characters, in fact if you see some of the cover redesigns you would probably think that he is the lead character... it isn't until you actually watch the film that you realize that he is only in the movie for less than 5 minutes.
The film was really low budget and there were a number of times when it seems like the director was trying pull off some Alfred Hitchcock horror twists. Over all the film isn't bad for its time and for the limited budget. If you like old time movies that try hard but don't always seem to pull it off, then give it a shot. If you are a big fan of the Rick …
