Richard Attenborough plays a lean mean gangster named Pinkie trying to silence a witness by sweeping the naive girl off her feet in this stylish crime drama.

A really fantastic film with crazy dialogue. Richard Attenborough stars as Pinkie, a small time gangster working his way up through the ranks and trying to keep people from talking. His relationship with 17 year-old Rose is questionable. She loves him, but he is using her. A good British crime/noir to check out.
