Reminds me a bit of Re-Animator in terms of the comedy/horror element. However, it's not quite in the same league. If you're a fan of B-movie budget horror, though, you should check this one out.

I found it to be stupid, but bizarrely entertaining at times.

Basket Case was 1 of my favorite horror movies when I was little. After watching it recently, I cant believe I use to like it so much. Its an OK movie but the acting & special effects are so bad in some parts, You can't help but laugh. It seemed more like a horror comedy then a horror flick but maybe that was what the director was going for.Makes me wonder.......

A tisket-a tasket, there's something in the basket

This movie is a sick, twisted riot filled with bad acting, a laughable plot and murders that inspire chuckles far more than terror. I will admit that in fourth grade when I heard about this movie though it sounded terrifying. Just goes to show how different reality and imagination can be. The special effects are so terrible that they actually become more of an attraction to the film rather than a hindrance. The movie is as sleazy as they come the main guy is naive and so optimistic you can't help but root for the oddball. The odd assortment of characters he runs into including the dippy receptionist he meets and falls in love with all add flavor. This is definitely one of those movies you have to have a warped sense of humor to truly appreciate.
