Craven returns to give us the best thing since the first Nightmare. Great story, with exceptional acting and some actual scare.

Out of this particular movie series, I've only ever saw the first one and this one. I like them both.

New Nightmare is very good
Roberto DaCritic - wrote on 02/11/2018
Wes Craven's New Nightmare was a nice movie. Freddy Krueger crosses over to the real world wear famous actors from the franchise like Heather Langenkamp and Wes Craven portray themselves and have well developed rolls in this film. However, this is only my 5th favorite in the series.
Problems:
1. Freddy Krueger's makeup. He looks super hideous and vulgar. The original makeup in the previous films were cool, but this is just plain ugly.
2. Freddy's form is now the "Entity" form. OH COME ON! Are you kidding me? Freddy was already real.
3. Death scenes. There are 4 kills in this movie: 3 are males and they ALL DIE IN THE FIRST 30 MINUTES WHILE THE 4TH KILL WAS A FEMALE WHO DIED 1 HOUR AND 20 MINUTES IN THE FILM! FREDDY'S DEAD WAS SEXIST FOR FREDDY ONLY KILLING MALES, BUT THIS IS STILL …
