Quality, if slightly dated gangster drama featuring a fine cast doing what they do best. Deserves attention for concentrating on Irish gangsters rather than the usual Mafioso and Oldman is excellent, honing his psychotic gangster persona to a tee. Not a patch on its contemporary,Goodfellas, but then again, not much is.

I thought this was a TERRIBLE movie whose only saving "grace" was its extremely impressive cast.
