I use to like this when I was a kid, but now it is silly and not very good.

Not quite up to Pixar quality, but still benefits from some great vocal talent even if the story falls a bit flat.

I gritted my teeth through parts of this. Major acting talent as voices.

The animation is beautiful and the voice acting at times inspired, but the plot never rises above the level of a sometimes snarky children's movie. This isn't "tugging on your heartstrings" Pixar territory, though it is pretty to look at.

"I learned everything I ever needed to know about the Mafia from watching the most important mob movie of our time....Shark Tale" - Homer Simpson Yeah I know this isn't the best mafia movie of our time, but I have respect for this movie because I really appreciate the animation. The lighting and texturing was phenomenal and there were a number of great choices for voice actors. While it seemed to come out right after the popularity of Finding Nemo, it has its own direction. While it is not a Pixar film, Dreamworks animation department really knows its stuff.

He gets his opportunity when he runs into Lenny (Jack Black) a black-sheep shark who is hiding out from his father, Don Lino. Oscar realizes he can take advantage of this and makes up a story that instantly brings him fame and fortune, winning the heart of a beautiful but shallow lion fish, Lola much to the objection of Angie who secretly has a crush on Oscar.

Meanwhile Don Lino, angered over the loss of his son, vows to find a way to get to him and make him pay. Things become more complicated when Angie finds out the truth.

This animated movie really has what it promises, a lot of laughs, great animation and there are a lot of supporting voices such as Ziggy Marley and Doug E Doug as...
