Camp to die for at its best! Spielberg shows with professional experience an area in which he has considerable expertise. What could possibly go wrong if you are in your best days? Harrison Ford in one of his most popular roles of a lifetime and awesome references to classic adventure tales make of Raiders of the Lost Ark a true tribute to what once made cinema a respectable media. Great way to open the 80s. 96/100

All Indiana Jones movies are classic action adventure - nice to see them all in this box set.

Indiana Jones is a college professor is on an adventure with his old friend to find the Ark of the Covenant. This movie is fucking outstanding just what a great adventure film with amazing visual effect's and Indiana Jones is the most bad-ass hero in every other movie I have seen.

In a perfect homage to swashbuckling early American serial films, Raiders of the Lost Ark is pure entertainment. Harrison Ford creates an iconic movie hero - complete with the right level of poise and wit - and the film easily jumps from memorable action sequence to the next. It never takes its foot off the pedal, but Spielberg adds the right blend of sight gags and light-hearted humor to offset the furious action. Movies like National Treasure will try to emulate Raiders, but it's one of a kind and the excitement it generates cannot be duplicated.

This is my favorite movie of all time. To me the film is about tenacity. The protagonist, Indiana Jones (I won't give away the plot in the review) discovers that there is something he wants to get. He spends the next two hours on screen trying to get it, and nothing (at all) will stop him until he reaches that end. This film is takes off and doesn't let up for a second. The filmmakers throw everything in his way and figure out a way for him to get out. Spielberg, Lucas and everyone involved in this film (especially John Williams, whose score is legendary) proved a love for this material and genre.

If you like action movies, this is a must-see. Karen Allen's character is someone I'd want to hang with. Totally enjoyable movie.

A fun and exciting treasure hunt of great swashbuckling proportions. Filled with rousing action that pleases to the upmost degree. One of the best adventure films.

It's so old-school fun that I was willing to overlook the weaker parts of the movie, but the ending with the creepy spirits coming out of the Ark was a bit much for me. This movie could deserve to drop down 200 or so places on the list. It's definitely not better than Last Crusade.
