They're back in action. This movie was a lot of fun to watch and the action was well done.

A sequel that continues the success of the first film. Glover & Gibson make a great ill-matched couple and the addition of Joe Pesci injects a new vein of black comedy into the film, which also ramps up the action scenes to newfound brutality.

Martin Riggs and Roger Murtaugh, protects a talkative federal witness (Pesci), while taking on a gang of South African drug dealers hiding behind diplomatic immunity. Vorstedt confesses to murdering Riggs's wife years ago while Getz gets abducted. The pace is slower and tends to get cheesy in the near conclusion. This installment didn't have memorable antagonists, Vorstedt and Rudd were just alright. Lethal Weapon 2 is a decent sequel with an additional character in an outspoken accountant Leo Getz (Joe Pesci). Plot tried to connect with the first film, soundtrack inept and direction was not as smooth.

A good sequel that plays much like the first. The addition of Joe Pesci to the series is a welcome one.

Mel Gibson and Danny Glover return in this 1989 action thriller directed again by Richard Donner and they bring back all the chemistry that made the original such a hit four years prior. Gibson has a girl to swoon in this one (played by Patsy Kensit) and the duo has another crook to chase down (a true bad guy performance from Joss Ackland) and an annoying unwanted friend (played perfectly by Joe Pesci) tagging along they can pick on. I loved this one the best of the four in the series mainly because the chemistry between Riggs and Murtaugh seem to be at its peak. If you liked the first one- you will love the second even if Pesci gets on your nerves a little as Leo Getz.......Lethal Weapon 2 comes in at #27..........

Retains most of what made the original so much fun: still has great chemistry of the leads with a few new additions. Joe Pesci grates the nerves after a bit, but his character is supposed to be that way.
