In this western, Clint Eastwood is a vengeful rancher-turned-lawman working with a ruthless judge (Hingle). He’s after the members of a posse that wrongly tried to lynch him. At the same time, as a U. S. Marshal he must dispense justice and bring in troublesome outlaws. The movie is actually more psychologically complex than expected. The treatment of frontier justice clashing with civilized law and order is an interesting dynamic. There’s an oddball cast of side characters who make things more amusing. Eastwood and Hingle are good as unlikely allies. Ed Begley is solid as the antagonistic leader of the lynch mob. Bruce Dern has a small but memorable role as a loathsome outlaw.

"They will all hang... HIGH". An innocent man is prosecuted and hung, but he doesn't die. Instead he comes back as a lawman and vigilante trying to bring justice to the town. Client Eastwood was a pure Bad-ass in the film like always and the movie is like kill bill but this movie came out before kill bill was made so kill bill was a rip-off of other different movie.
