I enjoy the weird dystopian environment of this film, which you can't fault for lack of originality. The technology is a little dated by today's standards, but the film is entertaining and full of gloriously fun one-liners and characters.

I love this movie. I think the more you know about computers the funnier it is. Plus, it has the cheesiest evil villain ever and he is set against a young Angelina Jolie. What is there not to love?

Okay, I'm the first to admit this movie probably isn't about hackers at all - at least not ones based in reality. I have to admit that I still enjoy this movie. It's fun, the music meshes perfectly and there is an actual plot. It is hilarious to see how dated the "future" technology turns out to be. Still, Hackers is just a good time - no matter how far out of reality it lies.
