Weird for the Sake of it

I appreciate horror movies that challenge the genre limits. This foreign affair definitely utilizes the meaning of 'challenge'. This is one I paid absolute attention to detail with and was still left scratching my head. I wasn't disturbed, or creeped out by any of this film, but I did find some of it detesting. The reasoning behind the two boy's psychotic turn is completely unclear. No truth's to their past (or present for that matter) with their mother are eluded to. That would be fine, if the film didn't randomly dive into these 'dreamlike' sequences that happen abruptly and are shown exactly like real life as is depicted in the film. Apparently Austria had more to offer than just Tiroler films with an original title like "Auf die alm mit drei lustige blonde mädels", Milka, Edelweiss and Schwarzenegger. This psychological horror film proves it. It isn't exactly special and original. Let's say I wasn't blown away. Not like the first time I heard the sound produced by an Alpenhorn. The design is so tight and sober as the interior of the house where Lukas (Luke Schwarz) and Elias (Elias Schwarz) live. Twins who, which is normal with twins, eerily look alike. You rather can call them Siamese twins because one can't be without the other.

This movie has probably the most misleading and the most spoiled filled trailer I've seen in awhile. If you haven't seen the trailer yet then please stay far way from it, because the trailer as I said is very misleading and for some reason it connects a couple of scenes together in the trailer to make you think something happens that never occurred in the movie. You've been warned.
The story is about a lonely house between the woods and cornfields - the summer sweltering. Two brothers, 9-year-old twins, wait for their mother to come home following her plastic surgery. She arrives, bruised and bandaged - the boys don't trust this "stranger" and soon the fundamentals of trust and identity emerge.
