On the eve of the Millennium the devil roams the streets of New York seeking his bride. If he does not conceive a child before the year is over, he will have to wait another 1000 years to escape his prison. It is up to an atheist ex-cop to protect the girl and save the world from damnation. This movie was so bad and so funny and so so horrible. Just think about it Arnold VS. the devil sounds epic ... well in this movie that never happens.

Arnie's powers were already on the wane when he made this, and it's a stinker. Cliche ridden, humourless, overblown and dumb. See The Prophecy instead.

A hybrid of supernatural thriller and cop drama that is too mired in cliche and silliness to be anything but corny and laughable. Arnold is at full cheesy display here and you can tell, when a priest argues that 666 is really 999 (as in 1999) upside down, the year of the Devil's return, that you are in for some ridiculous stuff.

It's hard to take any eve-ot-the-millennium films with any seriousness, but this one is especially bad. Lame action, pseudo-religious undertones, Arnold in all his glory - makes me glad the millennium only comes once every 1000 years.
