Kenneth Branagh flexes his muscles in this twisty thriller that is suspenseful but sometimes romantic or even humorous. Leading a strong cast that includes Emma Thompson, Robin Williams, Andy Garcia, Wayne Knight, and Derek Jacobi, he fills in the role of a private eye who falls for a woman trying to remember her past life as a murdered socialite. Part Hitchcockian romantic thriller and part De Palma psychological drama, DEAD AGAIN is quite entertaining.

Reincarnation murder mystery. Good performances overall Branagh superb in his 1940s life, hard to take in his reincarnated life. Derek Jacobi gets to stutter. Robin Williams as a disgraced psychiatrist. Emma Thompson right on target.
