Held down by a boring cast and lacking any kind of imaginative spin on previous Spidey incarnations, it doesn't hold a candle to the first two Sam Raimi films.

I've never been a fan of Spiderman even when Tobey Maguire was playing it, so I won't blame Andrew Garfield why I only enjoyed this movie a little. Fine, Garfield and Stone are adorable couple to watch but most of the humor, fun, and excitement an action-adventure film should deliver are off-timing with this reboot. I don't hate it, I was just looking for something more.

The Amazing spider man made no sense to me it doesn't follow the story of the first Spiderman series. The movie was confusing they are two very different take on the spider man Very confusing.

I still don't think this movie needed to be made, but I honestly didn't care so long as it was a good film; The Amazing Spider-Man is a good film. Sure, it covers some familiar territory, but it also adds/changes some aspects of the story which is much appreciated; it stands on its own and is more than capable of sustaining another franchise for a while longer. Andrew Garfield is a very solid and likable Peter/Spider-Man (as well as a solid actor), and Emma Stone is great as well; their fantastic chemistry is what drives this film. Rhys Ifans is an adequate villain, but he's underwhelming to say the least. I look forward to the sequel and potential future Marvel collaborations.

When I 1st watched Sam Raimi's version of Spider-Man I wasn't too sure about it but when part 2 came out, I watched part 1 again then part 2 & knew I liked it.I'm not too sure about this Spider-Man version either so I'm thinking I'll have to wait till part 2 comes out (Hopefully Jamie Foxx won't be Electro Man) watch it again & see what I think.1 thing I definitely know, I liked Sam Raimi's Spider-Man better. The Amazing Spider-Man was better then what I was expecting but it was kind of blah at times. The main thing I hated about this flick was the relationship between Peter Parker & Gwen Stacy. It felt boring & I could've cared less. When part 2 comes out I'll give it another look

disapointed, felt it was kind of superficial.. didn't feel the connection between Andrew Garfield and Emma Stone although i think they're really good actors both of them.. maybe it's how the story line was built up.. don't know what they should've done differently, but just know that the movie didn't draw me in as i expected. And not only the "love" between the both of them, but also didn't feel the suspense, the: "what's going to happen now??"-though.. missed the excitement.. Maybe i was expecting too much of it, have to learn not to do that. Still love nr.2 in the original trilogy though :)

one word : Its not that amazing!!!!!! Details : The biggest draw back of this movie that we have to see everything again in a bit diff way can help since its a reboot, going on the "bad guy" in this movie was not that powerful at u can see in previous editions of spiderman, like doc-oct or grean gob, good thing about movie is of course Anderw garfield, he is was good. overall i can say that movie was not made well, hope to see next better next editions.

Garfield makes this movie. As Spiderman he brings a spunk that Tobey Maguire never could. Also, Emma Stone is strong and interesting as Gwen Stacy, as opposed to Kirsten Dunst's painfully annoying Mary Jane. There weren't any standout moments in this adaptation like there were in Sam Raimi's, but this series seems to be off to a great start so yay for that. I can't wait to see what they come up with next.
