A horrible, horrible, HORRIBLE movie. I don't know what was going through Wes Craven's mind when he wrote this. I went into this movie, and halfway through I thought it was a spoof movie, like Scary movie or something. Becuase. honestly, this movie was hilarious! I was laughing my ass off the whole time watching this movie. I also saw this movie in 3D, WORST. 3D. EVER. Literally. This movie could not get one thing right. The story sounds like a half-assed ghost story your summer camp counselor would tell you. The dialogue is so bad that it's hilarious. And the acting makes me want to poke my eyes out with a fork. So if you have half a brain, you'll stay away from this movie and never look back.

I must say,many critics and fans of Craven's called this film either terrible or trash.so I was very anxious to watch this film.and I must say,this is one of the best horror films of all time.it doesn't rely on gore,but fear intself.it's a really good horror film,with a mystery twist.the acting is good,the dialogue is smart,the characters are under developed,but the film is still great.I truly love this film,and if you didn't like it then im sorry,cause this film was amazing.and will eventually go on to be a horror classic,yes a "classic".

Craven had a cool original concept and a formidable cast of actual teenagers, but the whole thing was just disappointing. Aside from a couple of creepy moments and one funny scene there isn't enough to recommend this film. The only thing that kept me till the end was the mystery, which was only slightly predictable.
