"TCON: Voyage Of The Dawn Treader" by Yojimbo

The children are drawn back into Narnia and join Prince Caspian in his search for the seven banished lords who were his father's greatest allies during the wars. The Dawn Treader is very much in the tradition of the Sinbad movies of old in its formula of island hopping magic, monsters and swordplay, no doubt in an attempt to capture the ready-made POTC and Harry Potter markets. It's a very attractive looking film with nice cinematography and effective CGI which facilitate the usual kiddie-friendly story of self-confidence and courage combined with the appropriate moral messages based upon the seven deadly sins. It does make for a painfully episodic story however, and the script has none of the darker subtexts, satire and sly wit that makes a family film appealing to an adult audience. …

Siblings, Edmund (Skandar Keynes) and Lucy (Georgie Henley) are on a journey with cousin Eustace Scrubb (Will Poulter). They join King of Narnia, Caspian (Ben Barnes), to rescue seven lost lords and to save Narnia from a corrupting evil that resides on a dark island. Admittedly this reviewer has not seen a single film from the franchise, just as reluctant as I was before with the Potter series. Saw thist film accidentally on cable and was fortunate enough to follow the story. Screenplay was effective with some really good lines: Coriakin - "To defeat the darkness out there, you must defeat the darkness inside yourself." Lucy - "When you grow up, you should be just like you." Score grandiose and visual effects believable and gorgeous. Voice acting were enticing. Acting were sincere …

For Narnia!

Voyage of the Dawn Trader (The Chronicles of Narnia) is such a good Adventure movie. A ship on a journey to solve a sort of mysterious case. A voyage that challenged their temptations and found each and everyone's fears, weaknesses, and limitations. A cruise which showed them their real powers, strengths, and determinations to fight FOR NARNIA!

I never COMPLETELY LIKED Narnia movies. Effects are simply not amazing, actors are simply acting. Everything seems SIMPLE and never been on the point of a GREAT FILM. I watched this movie because i had watch the first two, so why not? The lion, the witch, and the wardrobe disappointed me. Prince Caspian slightly got me. Voyage of the Dawn Trader made me realize one thing: Narnia is for Not-so-young and not-so-old people. IT'S SIMPLY AN …

Better in the series than as a stand alone film

"The Chronicles Of Narnia: The Voyage Of The Dawn Treader" is the third film in the latest adaptation of C.S. Lewis' novels. It is third in sequence and third in order of worthy acclaim. This film seems confused, it doesn't know whether it is a movie for adults and children alike, or a childrens film. Some of it can seem like a film for everyone, but it can seem extremely simple and a little too light. Almost like it is was made especially for children under 10. If it was made to be a film primarily for young children, this would be fine and it would be critiqued as a childrens film, but it is not so will be critiqued as a film for families and singles alike. .....which is unfortunate for the film makers. "The Voyage Of The Dawn Treader" sees Lucy (Georgie Henley) and Edmund Pevensie …
