My 500 review on film club. Hopeless romantic Tom is thrown for a loop when his girlfriend Summer announces that love doesn't exist and dumps him. Going over the 500 days they shared together, Tom tries to figure out what went wrong and in doing so, rediscovers true passion. Zooey Deschanel and Joseph Gordon-Levitt was incredible in this movie and the movie never felt flat or dull.

(500) Days of Summer effortlessly establishes itself as one of the most entertaining and flat-out original romantic comedies to come around in quite some time.

Fun to watch even though it is a story of a heart broken. Clear story even though presented non-linear. And all good and charm for both actors Zooey Deschanel and Joseph Gordon- Levitt! ♥

Realistic and efficient acting by the leads. Joseph Gordon-Levitt as the sensitive, ideal architect named Tom Hansen and the realist Summer Finn played by Zooey Deschanel were just sensational. The soundtrack was amusing and the cinematography impressive. Had a few dull scenes just to make it day 500 and the premise was good. The humor and screenplay was honest and coming-of-age topic was not rehashed. (500) Days of Summer hits hard when it comes to romantic comedies but is appealing and believable.

This romantic comedy somehow manages to harness all the frustrating and enchanting things about love, which makes it a perfectly relatable film for anyone who has gone through a bad breakup. Couple that with some great subtle moments of comedy, believable performances, original storyline, and an incredible soundtrack, and this is one of the best of 2009.

I must say that I enjoyed this movie a lot. A very unusual romantic comedy and not the usual "unrealistic" stuff. How you can see the characters good and bad days makes it more interesting to watch. The acting is also very great and a lot of people says that Joseph Gordon-Levitt matured in Inception but I think he shows great acting skills here, Zooey Deschanel does a great job to.

Painfully original, but fun and some sweet moments all the same. I enjoyed it, some scenes a lot more than others, especially Tom's run from the rooftop party, theres so much passion and depression in his performance, makes it worth it, even if you do detest Zooey Deschanel, which I've heard a lot of people do.
