Very suspenseful. Cruise is wooden at the beginning but loosens up to become his character quite well actually. He plays the colonel well half the time. The lack of accent didn't bother me, though it didn't feel totally German. Solid!

A good historical, action drama directed by Bryan Singer, who doesn't disappoint as he guides this story about a failed attempt to assassinate Adolf Hitler after Normandy. There's a good cast here that creates lots of suspense about whether or not they will be successful, even though anyone who knows their history already knows the outcome of this story. This is a good comeback flick for Tom Cruise, who follows his hilarious supporting role in Tropic Thunder with a strong, leading man performance here. I remember seeing a trailer for this in the spring thinking it looked pretty silly, but I have to admit it's pretty good.

A really good film. Well acted, well directed and a very engaging plot. I hate the fact that Tom Cruise is in another great movie!
