This is, quite possibly, the best "end of the world" movie I have seen, since War of the Worlds. All from the perspective of a hand held digital camera, which gives the film a different style, it starts off at a party for a guy named Rob, who is leaving New York City to work in Japan, when suddenly, some type of monster starts attacking the city, and they all have to run for their lives. The handheld camera makes the movie more unique, and more real. It's a good one. Check it out.

In conclusion: Great movie, terrible ending. The ending left too much unknown. I had know idea what happened to Lily, and the least they could do is to show what happens during the explosions. The entire concept of how the monster came to be also confuses me. A barely visable object can be seen falling from the sky in the ending scene of Coney Island, which is said to be a satellite that awakened the monster, but I'm not sure. My overall rating is 8/10.

Now, this movie is a hard one to review, because there are many good and bad elements about the movie. So, here it goes: I liked the creative camera angles in this movie, as well as the unknown, but surprisignly talented actors. The monster was well designed, and though it may seem like a Godzilla knock-off, it is most definitely not. The bad things though, are that i found it unnesicarily bloody, and it's hard to remember which name goes with which person. But it was better then i expected, even if it wasn't fantastic.

The movie was definitely intense. However, part of that gets lost once it gets just too over-the-top for me. I'm weird with monster movies, the interactions of the characters and everything else besides the obvious monster part has to be believable. And that was lost on me after a while. However I still enjoyed this movie.

Cloverfield is like bad reality TV: the filming is awful and the acting is worse. I was expecting something raw. Chaos in the streets. People doing very bad things. But Cloverfield is B-Rate horror and little more.

I was really looking forward to seeing this movie and got really excited about the previews I saw on T.V. but in reality, I really didn't like the movie when I started watching. There was way to much monster and I think it would have been better with out seeing so much of it. I also felt that it was predictable and ended very abrupt. Not my favorite, not at all. Also, if you don't go see this on the big screen, I wouldn't bother.

This was a good movie. My thought was this is how the last Godzilla movie should have been. It was exciting and action packed. If you don't get a chance to see this in the theater though don't bother I have a feeling that this movie would lose a lot with out the surround sound and the big screen. All in all it is the best monster movies I have seen in quite some time.

A pretty suspenseful film. We've all seen the monster movie before, but this is done in a pretty creative way through the eyes of a guy holding a camera. Of course, there are the same stupid decisions, such as going right into the danger when they should be running the other way. With a movie like this, you have to look past the standard cliches and just sit back and enjoy. As long as you don't think too much and go for pure entertainment, you should have a good time.

A spectacular, artistic and completely creative new type of film. Cloverfield is the most intense thriller I have ever seen and THE best movie I have seen in at least the last year. Absolutely amazing. Edge-of-your-seat entertainment here.
