Has all the elements of typical teen slasher horror movie, but not a little bit of substance and originality. I expected at least a bit of trivia about Louisiana and its folklore, a bit more than usual. But got nothing - just typical senseless evil being's ride from one unsuspecting victim to another - which could be watched comfortably using fast forward function... If you are interested into that kind of folklore, I would rather recommend The Skeleton Key made just the same year - story had some flaws, yes, but was so much more interesting.

Has an old campy slasher feel to it. Would be better if it had came out in the 80's. Not that good, but not too bad either.

crap that I forget about but find myself strangely drawn to. I have watched this twice and both times regreted it. But there may be a 3rd time I fall for it. Who knows.

This qualifies as the dregs of the horror genre. It takes the stupid teens in peril angle that was done to death in Friday the 13th and moves the setting to Louisiana and puts in a voodoo twist. It ain't enough to save this tired film.
