Ian Wyndham (Nicholls) is a British businessman never has time for his musician partner Samantha Andrews (Hewitt). A taxi driver (Tom Wilkinson) gives Ian sound love advice. An unfortunate incident occurs that would view the selfish boyfriend. Despite a few sappy lines, the screenplay was impressive with quotes from the film: Taxi driver – “Appreciate her and what you have.” Ian – “Today, because of you... what I learned from you; every choice I made was different and my life has completely changed... and I've learned that if you do that, then you're living your life fully... it doesn't matter if you have five minutes or fifty years. “ Samantha – “I don't wanna be adored! I wanna be loved.” Performances were sincere especially Jennifer Love Hewitt. The direction, cinematography and soundtrack were wonderful. If Only touches on regret, dealing with relationships and cherishing the people you love. A vital film for people whose relationships are on the rocks and to fall in love again.
