The truck chases are exciting but the story is a bit too simple for its own good. Herbert Lom is solid as the doomed best friend. Patrick McGoohan is a loathsome bully. Peggy Cummins is honestly a bit despicable as the love interest. Stanley Baker is a tad bland as the protagonist.
