Unusual spin on the neo-noir genre where an innocent woman takes it on herself to dig deeper into the murder of a close friend. Whatever faults the movie has, Debra Winger is not one of them. She’s immediately endearing to the audience as she navigates the seedy underworld of drugs, sex, and murder. The resolution might not be satisfactory though. I guess it’s technically an ending.
