Like with his 'Tomb Raider' reboot, Roar Uthaug shows he has the skill set to direct blockbuster action and handle CGI effects. But he still hasn't figured out how to make his characters interesting-a big problem I had with his 'Tomb Raider' reboot. Though strangely enough, the mountain sized troll that is causing all the mayhem is the best developed character in this movie. And might just be the most sympathetic. Seriously, I felt sorry for this thing.
