Environmentalist themed western about a timber baron (Douglas) quarreling with a Quaker widow (Miller) over the right to chop down majestic sequoia trees. The photography is colorful and the trees look magnificent. Kirk Douglas is good at playing a heel. But the movie is just kind of dull.
