In a flamboyant if still dastardly performance, Guy Pearce carries this fascinating drama. He plays Han van Meegeren, the most successful art forger in history who even sold a fake Vermeer to Hermann Goring himself. Given many of his clients were Nazi elite, he's accused of being a wartime collaborator but now has to rely on a former Dutch resistance fighter (Claes Bang) to prove his innocence in a trial for his life.
