Tarzan and the Valley of Gold

Mike Henry plays the vine-swinging Tarzan in this odd mishmash of a standard Tarzan adventure mixed with a globetrotting James Bond mission. The action scenes are...fine if strange. A scene where a henchman is crushed by a giant Coke bottle has to be seen to be believed. Mike Henry is an imposing figure but a block of wood as far as acting goes. Ray Harryhausen fans may recognize Nancy Kovack from Jason and the Argonauts as the villain's girlfriend that falls for Tarzan. The movie itself is more odd than entertaining and the dialogue is pretty routine. The antagonist has some quirks to his villainy but if this was an actual James Bond movie, he'd be ranked as one of the lesser Roger Moore threats.
