I have not seen this. Wasn't this a made for TV movie? Also have you seen Drive? That is my pick so far for best movie but I am quite a bit behind. Spent too much time on the facebook integration :)

Romero and Carpenter went to places in their films, that were other than the expected, and that's what made their films work. Romero in essence gave us our modern interpretation of what a zombie could be, not the old 1930's version. Carpenter gave us a black man as protagonist in 'Assault On Precinct 13', the original version, and that was a progressive act at that time. I guess I look at films from a 60+ years point of view, so it may be a little different from others who are younger.

Yes, I've seen the 1979 "Dawn of the Dead", I like it better than the remake. I like the original 'Night of the Living Dead' for its' black and white photography, and the way it tapped into the knee jerk response to shoot first, and never ask questions, crisis causes a very rapid breakdown in civilization.
