I can't really recommend it but there are far worse ones out there! As you can see from some of my not-so-nice reviews :)

You may like it.. It just wasn't for me. The scenes where he goes into the past and sees people like F. Scott Fitzgerald, Ernest Hemingway & Picasso are interesting. Its a very short movie so even though it wasn't great (in my opinion) it's not a big investment of time. And its pretty clean too which I know is important to you (as it is to me). Its watchable..

It was a lot better then I expected given all the very unfairly negative press. It was a really fun movie.

If I rated it, I would have given it a PG. There is some mild cursing, especially in the scenes on Earth in the 1880s. A guy urinates on the bars of John Carter's prison cell in the begiinning, but you only see it from the back and its quick. There is violence, but its cartoony with aliens getting killed mostly. There is some violence with people killing people with swords, etc., but it is not graphic. The princess in the movie wears a provocative costume at one point, but there is no sex …
