A succinctly solid film from Ben Affleck, who brings his old pal Matt Damon along for the ride. Jason Bateman, Viola Davis, Chris Tucker and Chris Messina make up a great supporting cast and while I'm sure the film takes some liberties, the story is uplifting and one of those "gut feeling" moments that arguably changed the course of sports (and shoe) history. Also, if you love 80s music, that soundtrack is rockin'.

For a premise that sounds like it might just work but only for a short film, this was actually pretty entertaining. Matt Damon and Ben Affleck were funny. Viola Davis gave a heartfelt performance as she usually does. The arguments and negotiations were funny.

It tilts a bit towards being more informative than entertaining, but "AIR" nevertheless makes a mark with a forceful star-studded cast and smart script barbed with some crackling dialogue.
