Number 8 in this spy series may be a half hour too long. But the action and spectacle is outstanding. The plane sequence is worth the ticket price alone. Tom Cruise may be in his sixties now, but he can still handle the stunts, fights, and chases.

"I need you to trust me. One last time."

You all misled me… this isn't as bad as Star Wars: Rise of Skywalker. This finale provides a fitting conclusion to one of the greatest action franchises ever created.

While it’s incredibly flawed, the movie suffers from pacing issues at the beginning as it sets up what’s to come, even though this part two finale should serve as a payoff. The first half features Ethan trying to convince the president and other CIA officials to allow him to undertake an impossible task independently, which, of course, they refuse to do. Nevertheless, Ethan goes ahead anyway. I felt the slowness at the start, but I still enjoyed the film. This entry relies heavily on flashbacks and nostalgia, and I understand the complaints some fans had about them, especially from die-hard series fans who don’t …

Saving the Best for... Last?

It's kind of amazing that it has been nearly 30 years since the original Mission: Impossible debuted on the big screen. But here we are and if (because it never say never) this is the final film in the series, Christopher McQuarrie gives us an action film for the ages - and a great send-off for fans of this franchise.

The Final Reckoning picks up a few months after the events of Dead Reckoning with the program known as The Entity running wild with its own version of reality - complete with its own cult - and it seems its master plan is take over ever nuclear arsenal world-wide and, like Terminator before it, wipe out most of humanity in one fell swoop.
