A sight and story to behold, "Kubo and the Two Strings" is grounded by a powerful, original, and epically fantastic plot that never gets outshone by its stunning visuals.

I didn't expect this to be this quiet and slow. It is a quality animation and powerful visually, however, it didn't generate emotion and I felt really detached from the film, I don't know, maybe it's the culture or is it just not my preference. I'm an Asian myself, I thought I would like it more. But still a good one.

I adore Travis Knight’s work in Kubo and the Two Strings, as it was clearly a painstaking labor of love that included handmade costumes and even visual effects. It's nomination for Best Animated Feature seems assured even if the win is out of the picture.

Kubos Mutter …
