DCU Animated Back on the Rise

While I did admire some aspects of 'Son of Batman', I felt the crime-fighting dynamic and father/son relationship between Bruce and Damien fell short of potential. I think those areas are improved in this sequel. The relationship grows and their conflict over Damien's path to vengeance has a bit more substance. There's more of an attempt at dramatic tension. I could've had the whole movie just be between the two of them, but The Court of Owls invade the second half. The story takes a predictable route from here on. Though, they do make worthy adversaries to Batman and his crew. The obligatory action heavy finale is still pleasing despite the typical nature of it's setup. Won't deny the coolness of these fights. A marginal improvement over the three previous DCU Animated films.
