Plot: An Arizona cop is called to New York to help.escort a dangerous prisoner. Clint Eastwood plays his usual stoic macho self. But he has some good moments with costar Susan Clark. The plot is your basic "cop-chases-criminal" story. A few of the fish-out-of-water jokes are kind of funny. Like when Eastwood in his cowboy getup is walking though a hedonistic orgy of drugs and sex at a night club.

Nice stranger in a strange land cop movie in which Clint's parochial sherrif comes to the big city to claim a prisoner, just to lose him again through his own arrogance. The resulting hunt to recapture him takes the stetson clad redneck stumbling through a culture clash of 60s cool and violence. Classic Eastwood.
