Plot: A pair of brothers try to keep their ailing Italian restaurant afloat - Primero is a gifted chef but finds it beneath him to create mediocre fare (the kind customers actually like to eat) while Secondo does his best to balance finances and keep things going. Their rival, Pascal has a highly successful place with tepid food but happy customers and offers them one big chance: a jazz musician friend to play for one night as a benefit. Starts out kind of boring but things get more interesting towards the end. Food does look tasty.

This movie is worth watching, if only to see two early performances by actors who've gone on to (modest) fame and (modest) fortune. Tony Shalhoub and Stanley Tucci are great as brothers who complement each other's strengths and shortcomings as they prepare for their big chance to make their restaurant venture work. It's also always nice to see Minnie Driver and Isabella Rossellini.
